Dos Equis’ home, a brewery in Veracruz, Mexico, was founded 130 years ago. Several years later, in 1897, Siglo XX, which today we know as Dos Equis was born. At the time, the beer was named for the impending 20th century—“siglo” meaning century and the Roman numerals “XX” for 20. Then and today, our beer is about looking to the future and embracing the unexpected.
